Android versions always named after sweet items || what will be name of Android 8.0

Every year android updates its operating system but have you ever noticed the names of these versions they are always named after a sweet dessert in the increasing order of English alphabets. Last update as Android 7.0 N of 2016 being called as Android Nougat. It's time to move on to the next version of Android 8.0 aka the Android O version

No one ever knew why to google android developers name their software after a sweet dessert in the alphabetical order of the list of the Android operating system starts with

Cupcake

Donut

Elair

Froyo

Gingerbread

Honeycomb

Ice Cream

jelly bean

Lollipop

Marshmallow

Nougat

Therefore predicting the name of the upcoming version would not be a very difficult task. As they have adopted the names of the desert with alphabetical order of English letter, it will also be the same for this year. In 2017 we will have Android 8.0 with letter O.

As Google is searching for the Sweet treat beginning with O. There really are 't many of them there is more chance that they could come up with Oreo, Orange, Oatcake.

The last version of Android 7.0 Nougat was released in the month of August 2016 we expect the new version of 2017 will be released in the month of August too. Well there are many stories behind naming the Android but who knows whether it is some type of secret code or the developer's favorite dessert, this will always be a mystery
